Hello
I would suggest MBA in Finance over HR. Look at the world financial condition. If you excel in such areas and give better output and safe outputs in corporate jobs regarding Finance, I think you will shine.
But HR is also a good area. Its about dealing with different types of people, with different work cultures and different mindsets. If you have good communication skills with people can handle them well for a company HR is your choice.Do check out MBA in marketing too.You can get lecturer posts for MBA in Finance,Marketing,HR etc., but for that you need to be a Phd. holder. Few colleges also take only if NET is cleared.
For admissions in good MBA colleges with your required options, be it marketing or HR or Business you must clear respective MBA entrance exams-CAT,MAT JMAT, IGNOU OPENMAT etc. as per your requirement.

Re: Which is better MBA in finance or in HR? What are job opportunities in both fields?

Hello friend,as per your query I would like to comment that both the specialisations are good enough to give a person a better life and good salary package offering a wide scope. Before telling about the best stream out of finance and HR,i would like to discuss about the role of both the personnels in an organization.
FINANCE:The role of a finance person is more related with figures, and plans and policies of the company,i.e internal working of the organization is handled by him.
But is we consider a person appointed in a Bank having finance specialisation in his MBA,he would be most probably dealing with the customers in the way of Cash teller,Help desk,non-cash teller ,RM,BM etc.where as in a company say manufacturing,he would be looking after the clerical staff and managing the manufacturing processes and the like. He is to make financial policies and plans,he is a strategist,a manager etc.
For eg.for a person who has pusued his/her mba in finance, the plenty of jobs like Commercial banking,
corporate finance,
insurance,
investment banking,
money management,
real estate
,financial planning etc. are there.

HUMAN RESOURCE:Human Resource is a term used to describe the individuals who make up the work force of any organisation. Human Resource is also the name of the function within an org.charged with the overall responsibility for implementing strategies and policies relating to management of individuals which are the human resources. The main role of a HR manager is as follows:

Recruiting,Selection of employees
Employee record keeping
Organisational design and development
Industrial and employee relations
Compensation and employee benefit management
Training and development
. Motivation and morale building

So the role of both the persone are vital for any organization whether it is manufacturing, trading, service, technical, consultanc y etc.

SUGGESTIONS:According to my perception ,though both the streams have their own importance but still Finance would be a better choice as a company needs a team of finance managers dealing in different aspects but a company might be having a little team or group of HR managers engaged in the purpose of manging the employees and dealing with the above functions.
But as far as salaries for both the personnels are concerned,HR managers do get better packages than the finance personnels as their work is having more explosure as they are required to move around the world to get and select the best personnels for their organization where as finance work is more of repititive nature.

The choice is yours as you are the rider of your life.

Thanks

Hi Dear guest,

Your doubt is very common, which confuse many students. Actually now you need to understand your Strengths and Weaknesses
verifying with your opportunities and threats (that is SWOT analysis) for choosing a right career path.

I always suggest that please go with the best subject and the choice in which you feel comfortable, instead of thinking about which
is the most fast moving subject or so. OK. So think with by keeping in view about your abilities and capabilities while selecting any
subject. If you feel that you are good at finance then go for it. Or if you think that you may have to work very hard and dont have
much interest then choose accordingly a specialisation which suits your personality, like HR or Marketing. OK

Further, I say that there is no dearth of job opportunities for a gem candidate right. Jobs are always available but think either they (the recruiters)
or you think that a particular job may not suitable or so.

But for HR or Marketing or even Finance the Job Market is always open as since they are the core management subjects. OK.

So plan and select a specialisation according to your communication skills and calibre accordingly.. Best of luck
