Re: Which is best option between MBA and M.tech after engineering and Why?

It is often difficult though, to measure each of these and often more compelling reasons to choose a specialization like 'What's hot' & 'Which areas pay the most' tend to come to the fore when making this decision.

It is proven that the work you are most likely to enjoy and be successful in is work that best matches your abilities. Certain specialization will be a better fit for you than others.A decision on the career should be made based on your interest, aptitude and personality.

    My Opinion -
M.E & M.TECH are the courses are Masters in Engineering Discipline.

Admission- Admission is through GATE Exam

Job opportunities- Both M.E & M.TECH will help you enter you to core industries of your discipline and prepare you for research and Teaching profession.

MBA stands for Masters in Business Administration .

Admission - Admission is through CAT,MAT,XAT, GMAT, JMET ,SNAP Exam followed by GD & PI.

Job opportunities - This course helps you to make your foray in to Management Sector of a Business organization.

Both the courses has immense earning potential and huge demand in the job market.

The highest salary offered last year for an M.Tech graduate is Rs.1.6 crores from IIT while for MBA a IIM -Ahmadabad graduate received 1.2 crores.

If you want to go for Teaching or Research position or Development sectors in MNCs ,go for M.TEch

And if you feel you have managerial skills, quick decision taking capacities, communication & presentation skills , go for MBA.

You are the Captain of the Ship and best to decide on your Career.

    Good Luck.

    Dear friend,

First of all you should decide about you career properly and if have done B.Tech in civil ,mechanical and elictrical the it becomes almost necessary for you to do M.Tech otherwise you may think of something else.

I will personally suggest you to go for M.Tech rather then MBA.Even MBA is necessary but you could go for it in later stages of life.

It's also depend on the branch you have in engineering. If you are doing engineering in
    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Mechanical Engineering
    3.Electrical Engineering
Then you should definitely opt for M.Tech rather than going for MBA.Otherwise you may go for MBA

You can enjoy following feature in MBA....
    1. Personality development
    2. Improve communication skill
    3. Good soft skill development
    4. Good Business skill
    5. Interview Skill development
    6.Good Management Skills
    7.Leadership Skills
    8.Problem Solving Skills
    9.Logical Thinking
    10.Listening Skills etc.

MBA and M.Tech are both post graduate course. M.Tech deals with engineering field and MBA deals with management. My suggestion for you is to go with M.Tech if you are interested in your technical field and very strong in concepts. As per the survey only 9% of engineers get their job in their field so decide by having this in mind. MBA has good scope when compared to M.tech as there are more job vacancies. Whatever field you select have full concentration over that subject and develop your communication skill, management skill and technical skill."Talents never fail but what needed is your hard work with full dedication in discharging your duties".
