A decision on the career should be made based on your interest, aptitude and personality. It is often difficult though, to measure each of these and often more compelling reasons to choose a specialization like 'What's hot' & 'Which areas pay the most' tend to come to the fore when making this decision.

It is proven that the work you are most likely to enjoy and be successful in is work that best matches your abilities. Certain specialization will be a better fit for you than others, and if you work in a field that doesn't match your natural abilities, you may find your work unrewarding, unchallengeable, difficult or unpleasant.

    My Opinion -

There is no difference between M.E & M.TECH .both the courses are Masters in Engineering Discipline.

Admission- Admission is through GATE Exam

Job opportunities- Both M.E & M.TECH will help you enter you to core industries of your discipline and prepare you for research and Teaching profession.

Best Colleges for M.E/M.tech in Delhi and UP-

    IIT Delhi

    Delhi Technological University

    Aligarh Muslim University

    JNTU

    University of Lucknow,Faculty of Engineering

    NIT Delhi

    NSIT

    IIT Kanpur

    IT- BHU

MBA stands for Masters in Business Administration .

Admission - Admission is through CAT,MAT,XAT, GMAT, JMET ,SNAP Exam followed by GD & PI.

Job opportunities - This course helps you to make your foray in to Management Sector of a Business organization.

Best Colleges for MBA in Delhi and UP-

    Indian Institute of Management ,Lucknow

    Indian Institute of Foreign Trade,Delhi

    International Management Institute,New Delhi

    Fore School of Management,New Delhi

    Institute of Management Technology,Ghaziabad

    Faculty of Management Studies,Delhi

    Department of Business Administration, Aligarh

    Department of Business Administration,Lucknow

Decide your career on the basis of interest and aptitude. If you feel you need to go for core industries, research or teaching profession, my suggestion go for M.Tech .

If you feel you have the MBA stuff like managerial abilities, spark for entrepreneurship and leadership, good communication & presentation skills, go for MBA.

Decision is yours because I am only the navigator but you are the Captain of the ship.Choose wisely

    Good Luck

Re: Which is best option between MBA and M.tech after engineering? What are the best colleges for MBA and M.tech in Delhi or U.P?

    dear buddy...

I SUGGEST YOU TO GO FOR MBA BECAUSE MOST OF THE TOP MNCs RECRUITE MBA CANDIDATES...

    Educational Qualification for MBA:-

-You should complete Graduation in any stream from a recognized university
-You should score Minimum of 50% of marks.
--Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC/ST category.

    Age criteria for MBA :-

-There is no specific age limit required for MBA course . You can join MBA course at any age.

The Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) is one of the most coveted Post Graduate Qualifications across the world. Graduates of all types - Engineers, Science, Arts, Commerce, Doctors - aspire to this qualification. The following MBA Entrance Exam are used for getting MBA admission in Top B school.

Scope of MBA Degree Course: The scope for a MBA degree graduate is unparalleled. Apart from attractive pay packets and placements being offered at college-level itself, it opens the doors to various sectoral opportunities. One can easily get jobs at the managerial or executive level after successfully completing MBA course. This job acts as the first step of the ladder of success, after which one can reach to the topmost position. The Indian corporate world has seen many MBA professionals occupying top slots.
With so many new sectors opening up - retail, insurance, BPO, Telecoms. It would seem the job pie has grown exponentially. True, except that B school you graduate from often still determines whether you eat your slice at the chairman's table. Many companies follow differential recruitment policies. Better salary, designation and job profiles are offered to the more premium grads.

Scope of MBA Degree Course: Remuneration: The numbers are still very persuasive. Statistics from the Graduate Management Admissions Council (the institute that administer the GMAT) indicate that in many cases someone's pre and post MBA salary can jump 50% or more An MBA may not be equivalent to a lottery ticket, but the odds are good that your earnings will increase after earning your degree - making those extra years of school worthwhile. Lifestyle of an MBA graduate is comfortable as he earns quite well.
