Ultimatel , as one moves up in the rank of a company, he has to manage things, and this is why an mba will get you more money than an engineer.
This should give you a fair idea.
Even if your aim is to do MBA(Masters of Business Administration) in future, then also you must pursue your graduation in the area of your interests. You have not mentioned your stream from
which you have done your higher secondary, thus i would suggest you some of the common fields which are opted by people for pursuing MBA . These can be mentioned as follows:-
there are still many people who opt for marketing as their specialisation. But this field requires a lot of hard work and and needs a student to work in hectic situations . Marketing fields require a
student to have a quality of multi tasking. It requires a candidate to feel comfortable even in cumbersome situations.
This field is mainly related to business and many people who opt for this field often become great entrepreneurs. So, in future if you want to develop your own business, then field can prove
very beneficial for you.
Any organisation cannot survive for long without injecting new blood n the organisation. There is no such big organisation which do not have a human resource department.
This department is responsible for employing right people at the right place at the right time in the organisation. This makes the entity work efficiently.
This is a field which is opted by students from commerce field. They are usually more related to this area. And there are also recruitments in this area because as the volume of the company rises, the organisation need to employ more people form finance field. For that you should have knowledge of basic mathematics.
Apart from that specialisation in a particular field is also opted by many people for example- MBA in Oil and Gas, in Information technology, etc.
B.Tech is a graduate degree and MBA is a post graduate degree.
So the person having a combo of both the qualifications will be paid higher than a person having just an engineering degree and a person having MBA degree after a simple BA.
With this combination, the candidates will be able to make the optimum utilization of the technical skillls which are acquired while in the engineering .
The managerial skills will help him to use the technical skills.
They are paid higher as the company and recruiters get both tha qualities in a single person ,so the work of an engineer and a manager can be done by a single person.
You can opt a number of specialisations which are available in MBA which suites an engineering person so as to have a blend of both the technical and managerial skills.
So choose the best for you .
All the best and Thanks
An MBA helps you leverage your previous experience with the newest trends in industries and best practices. It also allows you to network or upgrade to new roles with higher responsibility and possibly more pay. I recently read about this INSEAD MBA grad who went on work with Rolls Royce. He studied engineering for his undergrad and at 28, he was managing £450million pound budget and very large teams. MBA news Business Because covered his story. He also got the Goldman Sachs scholarship which covered his tuition!

Salary always based on experience and on the post on which you are appointed. Suppose that if you are MBA holder and working on the the post of sales man then your salary will be 15-20K. But if you are Area Manager or Chief executive then your salary will be very good. So it is same with B.Tech holders. If B.Tech holder after having experience appointed for Project Manager or Site Manager then their salary will be more than 1-Lac. So its all depends on the post or experience for getting good package.
All the Best
Hi, An MBA course having duration of 2 years helps you to improve your management skills.. It also allows you more salary packages as compared to Engineer.. You can studied MBA AFTER COMPLETION of your engineering. And such skilled persons ie, having both technical and managerial skills are greatest demand in companies.. With a very high salary packages.
Is it preferable to have a hands on experience as an engineer and then do MBA OR pursue MBA as soon as you finish your grad..?
Doing an MBA after B tech is good end.... ul have a good future.... but the main thing to concentrate is from which college ur doing mba.. if ur doin mba from normal college then its waste.. u have to select a good college for doing mba... so prepare well and get into good college... and have an happy ending
Both MBA and B.tech are good options and have their own benefits. Both earns good as well as bad.
It depends on your capabilities only.
If u go by the numbers then an MBA earns more....even in case of starting salaries MBAs . But it all depends on what ur interested in. Doing MBA just because of the money even if u love engg is not wise. For MBA the institution matters a lot. Not so much with engg colleges.

what is the scope of MBA after BBS(bachelor of business studies)? Is it preferable?
What position can a student with Btech Mba Degree expect him to be in
B. Tech is a technical subject. MBA is a managerial subject. If a student does MBA after B.Tech, there are fair chances of losing the command on the technical subject. Instead, the basic management and leadership qulaities can be imparted while studying B.Tech itself. According to me, M.Tech can be done after B.Tech instead of MBA as it may help to deliver the things in a more efficient way. This may be even compare to the doctors degrees like MD or MS after MBBS.
Look B.Tech and MBA is different from each other.so; how can you say who earn more. And you know that who work and labour more he will be stand top of the hill.so do what ever you want dedicatedly.
AND benifits of doing MBA is there is much more scope in now a days.so,don't waste your time.GOOD LUCK
benifits of doing mba in IT for an computer engineer
where are the jobs doing mba after btech in electtronics and communication.....plz help me out and mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hithere are many advantages of doing mba over engineering. By doing MBA, you're eligible for being on to a manager's post in a company. the growth rate of one's career is pretty high after doing an MBA. After engineering if you get a job of a production engineer, and after some years of experience, if you have an MBA degree along with you, you'll be posted as a production manager of the company. Therefore you should go for MBA and then you can bright your future even better Gud luck
