    If you have decided to go for MBA then it will be better to choose BBA over B.Com.

    You can choose BBA and then along with your graduation subjects work on your

    >> communication skills

    >>English Comprehension

    >>Quantitative aptitude

    >> Logical Reasoning

    >> Data interpretation

    If you start early, you will have better chances to get good percentile in CAT.

    HI

    MBA requires graduation and it can be in any field.

    As per the MBA criteria, you need to have done your graduation from UGC recognized college with atleast 50% marks and should not have any live backlog.
    So you can go for any graduation course as per your choice.

    Since CAT entrance exam or any other MBA exams have good amount of Maths.
    If you wants to go for finance then go for B.Com
    However, you can BBA if you have interest in BBA.

    All the best

    Re: BBA or B.com in order to pursue MBA?

    It is good that you are interest towards the MBA course.MBA is a master degree course.The duration of this course is two years.

    The basic eligibility criteria for this course is to
    have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.

    Dear aspirant there is not any kind of restriction for opting the stream or course to be eligible for this course.One is totally free to opt any of the course or stream to opt on the basis of their liking as well as convenience.

    BBA and B,com both are the good bachelor degree course.The value of both courses will be increased if the master degree course is done in their own streams.

    As you are telling that your ultimate goal is to do the MBA course so The BBA course more suits you.

    BBA is a bachelor degree course in business and administration.MBA and BBA course are interconnected.So If you will go for the BBA course then you will feel quite at ease with this subject rather than the B,com course.

    However the decision is depend upon you as well as on your interest.Think properly and carefully than take your decision.

    !! Good Luck !!

    Regards,
    JSD

    Re: BBA or B.com in order to pursue MBA?

    Both bachelor's degrees are the best and as you are from commerce stream so you can choose B.Com and prefer it as your first choice while pursuing graduation but BBA is always considered the best to pursue MBA in future because BBA is related to business industries and gives us basic and further knowledge about business management and administration that is why BBA is preferred by most of the candidates who wants to pursue MBA in future so you can choose anyone of them

    If you select B.Com and complete it then you will get some related choices to choose in MBA as MBA in Accounting Management etc. but if you select BBA then you will have multiple and better choices as MBA in Human Resource Management, MBA in Finance, MBA in Hospital Administration and many more so BBA will give you more chances to make your career and there is no problem in changing your stream at this level because BBA is completely not related with 12th class and if you have studies Business Studies as mandatory subject at 12th level then you should not have any problem in choosing BBA on the place of B.Com

    You wants to get admission in MBA in top most reputed institute by scoring good marks in CAT test so I would like to suggest you that you can easily get admission in reputed institute but you just have to give your time to grounding of CAT entrance test and score over than 98% marks in test then only you will be considered eligible for admission in top institutes but if you could not score more than 95% marks then also there is no problem because there are more than 100 top ranked and reputed colleges that accept scores of CAT test including some government universities of management education so your future is completely secure

    If possible then you must join any very good coaching institute and start preparation for CAT test because coaching institute will provide you all type of facilities and help related to preparation and guide you in right direction so you should prefer coaching. Start giving more than 6 hours everyday for study and these hours is for you because you will pursue graduation and if you had completed your degree then I would have suggested you for more than 10 hours everyday because securing higher/highest grades in CAT is mandatory so you should make your target to score more than 98% marks then only you will score more than 90% so do not waste your time and start preparation because you will have only two years and when you will come in final year, you will be eligible to apply for Common Admission Test that is why you should start preparation and practice to score good marks in examination

    Top institutes that are very good for management education in India and these all institutes accept the scores of CAT entrance examination conducted by IIM

    * Indian Institute of Management - All Branches
    * Institute of Rural Management
    * Management Development Education
    * Xavier Labour Research Institute
    * SP Jain Institute of Management and Research
    * Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
    * Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies
    * International Management Institute
    * Faculty of Management Studies
    * Institute of Management and Technology
    * Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies

    All the best

    Friend if you have the ambition for MBA (Master in Business Administration)then you can pursue BBA this is also a business administration course you can do.

    Actually any Graduate degree holder from the recognized University or a final year candidate from the recognized University in any discipline having minimum

    50% marks can write MBA entrance examination like CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/JMT/SNAP .On the basis of entrance exam result a candidate can choose his/her MBA

    colleges.Therefore it is right you can pursue BBA for MBA courses, but keep in mind in MBA entrance examination result will give you the chance for desired colleges

    to do MBA. Though it will be easier to follow MBA courses as you have completed Graduation with BBA.

    Thank You,
