Sir, I have done B.Com and MBA from YMCA, Delhi. Am I eligible to appear in Net exam. If not what is the qualification required?

If your University or college is affiliated with UGC and AIU i.e. Association of Indian University then you can fill the form of UGC NET. The eligibility criteria for NET exam is 55% or above in Master Degree from a recognized university. Here recognized university means recognized with UGC and specially with AIU. You can see your university recognition in AIU website, go to www.aiuweb.org and go the Member Listing Tab which is above in right corner. You can see university name by alphabetically.

If you are below the 28 years age then you can fill the form of UGC JRF i.e. Junior Research Fellowship exam in this you can do PhD and also go for Lecturer post in any university. But for above the age of 28 years only you can fill NET exam form and by this you can only go for Lecturer post not for PhD. For more information go to www.ugcnetonline.in. Best of luck.
