It is good to see that you are interested for the higher studies after your B,tech.MBA as well as M.tech both are the good master degree course. The scope as well as the opportunity of both courses are good in their own position. The main reason to opt he master degree course like MBA or M,tech to increase the salary potential as well as the post.

Basically going for any course or stream is depend upon ones interest as well as personal liking. And dear aspirant it is not same for all, It varies from person to person.

As you are telling that you are interested in the MBA course. So definitely you can go for this course. For getting the admission in good and reputed MBA colleges , you have to appear in the entrance examinations.

Re: Admission for MBA after B.Tech.?

My suggestion for you would be to go for the job opportunity after the completion of your B.Tech in ECE course. Because the job opportunities are ever green for the candidates who have completed B.Tech in ECE.

You can get job opportunities through
    On Campus Placements
    Off Campus Placements
    Company Walkins
    Job Portals
    Job Melas etc.

You can also apply for the entrance exams conducted by various PSUs every year to recruit the candidates of ECE.

You can do M.Tech and MBA courses after joining in Job also.

That is not a problem at all.

Only thing is that getting job is very much important for the candidates in this competitive world.

Try for job opportunities after completion of your B.Tech course. If you are not able to get good job in top companies, then prefer joining higher academic level courses like
    M.Tech
    MBA

Both these courses are Post Graduation level courses being offered by number of colleges all over India.

The duration for both the courses is 2 years.

The admission for both the courses will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

If you want to join M.Tech course, then I suggest you to have good preparation for GATE Exam and crack it.

If you want to join MBA course, then crack any of the following Entrance Exams
    CAT
    MAT
    GMAT
    XAT
    SNAP etc.

If you want to have some managerial knowledge, then I suggest you to join MBA course.

If you want to increase your knowledge in your core area, then join M.Tech course. This will be beneficial for you in getting job opportunities in core companies.

Try to get good subject knowledge in whatever course you join and build strong communication skills.

This will help you to get the job easily.

    Wish you all the best.

Re: Admission for MBA after B.Tech.?

    Hello dear

Dont worry dear still you are in 3rd year, you have two more year to complete your graduation and to take either job or do higher course in any other stream you are interested in.First of all concentrate your academic core after that try to get aggregate above 65% minimum because many campus placements ask the percentage for interview in your specialized core.So you will be prepare for that what ever you have done in your core. And after that you should concentrate on the areas which you have talent .As you said that you are not interested in core So why to do higher studies by taking the course that you are not interested in by doing M.Tech so leave the topic of M.Tech and now coming to MBA point of view ,MBA is completely different stream in which no core subjects are involved so try to concentrate on the areas in which questions were asked frequently.Generally for any type of MBA entrance exam has topics such as quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, verbal ability, english based comprehension.

Books we have to refer standard books so that you can have idea about the problem which are usually given in the exam:

    Quantitative aptitude-R.S Aggarwal
    Arun sharma
    Nishit sinha
    Data interpretation-R.S Aggarwal
    English based comprehension-Wren and martin
    Verbal and reasoning-R.S Aggarwal

There are so many colleges that offer MBA but among them IIM is good Top B school after that you have so many schools such as Narsee monjee institute of management studies
Jamnanlal bajaj institute of management studies
    loyala school of management
    indian school of business management
    National institute of management
    T.A Pai institute of management
    ICFAI business school of management
    others..........

If you want to get admission in MBA colleges after completing your bachelor's degree then first of all you should make your plan for MBA that you have to do then select anyone entrance examination as CAT or MAT that is accepted in various reputed institute and do not trust in books until you get guided by experts because there is a huge competition in such entrance examinations and if you will work for more than 10 hours everyday only on entrance examination then you will definitely get qualified in examination that is why you should not worry and first complete your bachelor's degree and if you want to prepare from now then you should find out any good coaching institute and join that without any hesitation then prepare according to the instructions of coaching center

You can appear for entrance examination while pursuing final year of degree so make yourself eligible and prepared well before appearing for exam so you could score good marks in entrance exam and get any good college for MBA course

    All the best
