If you wish to apply for Regular course , then 50% in Graduation is compulsory (45% for SC/ST Candidate) followed by entrance tests .
However there is no such requirement for distance MBA courses in the universities like IGNOU, SMU, IMT, etc.

Dear Aspirant, to sit in entrance exams of MBA like CAT, XAT, ATMA, a candidate should have minimum 50% marks in graduation.
Whereas for Reserved category SC/ST students provision of relaxation in marks is there, i.e, minimum of 45% is needed in graduation for reserved category students.
There are some institutes and universities which do not follow limitation of marks in graduation, most of them provide distance learning private MBA, like SMU, IGNOU, PTU etc.

it is right that you have to make the best percentage in the graduation so than yo can go for the MBA. but the minimum criteria is the 50% and you have to gain this percent for going to MBA course.
if you are form ST and SC then you will get some relief from the percentage for 45%.

if you want to pursue your mba in regular mode and from a good institutes then 50% is must needed. you can't appeared in the entrance exam without having this.
if you are a candidate belonging to the sc or st category then this minimum% reqirement will reduce to 45.
and if you want to pursue your mba in distance mode or from a non reputed institute then there is no such a criteria of 50% in graduation is needed.

- For appearing in all the entrance exam minimum of 50% is required in the bachelor degree.
- Only in few entrance exam conducted by certain university there is relaxation in the marks and it is based on their admission norms. Not necessary that they should have a fixed minimum marks.
- To do MBA in distant education you require just bachelor degree and marks required do not matters. The course is available only under few university namely Tamil Nadu open university, IGNOU etc.
- Distant education courses saves you time and you can make use of it for your job.
